Catching up when you are behind.... impossible??

Hi my friends. I am now SERIOUSLY behind on my projects. Why cant I get a plan & stick with it??? Why, why, why??? LOL My Photo First Aid? I am ashamed to admit I haven't really taken the time to do anything with it. :(  And if you look- you will see I wiped out at Boot Camp around day 10, which is really dumb because I only had a few more days! I am going to try & get caught up with both of them, along with some other projects. And the house- gag, don't know where those magic cleaning fairies are that everyone talks about on FaceBook. I know they haven't come here!
This cats claws are killing me. She is laying on my chest & shoulder.
Mike told me tonight I ought to dump my scrapping files & start over. I think I may do *almost* that. LOL I'll keep what I have left after pitching the bits & pieces, & also copy to a disk. Thank goodness most of my spending has been at one place, & Scrap stores are WONDERFUL at letting you get the stuff again if you lose them. I am tired of fooling around & I don't think I am getting anywhere!
Mike & I are trying to figure out WHY a folder that I haven't touched, would keep making copies in it. I had 8 copies of each element in one folder, & I REALLY did NOT do it!!! We are thinking maybe the temp DL does it every time it updates my BU? I really don't think that makes much sense though, cus that one folder was bought a year ago. LOL And all of them are doing it. Almost enough to make me ill.
I am going to start figuring out how to add some stuff to this blog, like some of the cool sites I visit.
In spite of all my whining (no I do not want any cheese), I have had a WONDERFUL day!!! I had lunch with a very dear friend who I dont see often enough. She took me out for a early birthday lunch. I do not know why we dont get together more ofton. It must be the distance, as we both live out in the middle of nowhere... about 3 miles apart. LMBBO!!! Love Ya Keri :)
Ok- may have to throw the cat down & take a shower.

Oh- I should add a happy thing.... how about a picture of.... Bella????

Yep- this should work. Smile :-)

WHERE does the time go????????

As usual, I am behind on most of my "scheduled" activities. I am behind a few days on the Creativity Boot camp. I am seriously behind on my Photo First Aid class.... weeks behind :( .... which was a Birthday Gift to me from me!!!! HOW can I do that???
We wont talk about the house, laundry, or any other *home* things I should be doing.
I am slowly making headway of finding all the kits that are missing pieces or all of the kits that were on my EHD. I wish I understood how that happened. And I recently figured out my extra fonts are gone also!!
I tell you, I am possessed with something (maybe a special zing in my fingers) that can tell a computer or printer to mess with my little brain!!! And- they are all BRAND new!!! Not my fingers, they are old.
I did accomplish one thing- I found out how I managed to constantly copy files, to the point I would have 5 copies of the same element or whatever. When I would try to delete multiple files, I clicked to fast, & that would somehow create a copy.
Ouch- this is getting depressing fast! So I need to add a happy something.

An older blond woman heard through a friend that taking a milk bath is good for the skin, will cure stretch marks and make her beautiful again. So she left a note for her milkman to leave 15 gallons of milk instead of the usual amount.

When the milkman arrived, and read the note, he felt there must be a mistake. He thought she probably meant 1.5 gallons so he knocked on her door to clarify the point. The woman came to the door, and the milkman said, "Yes ma'am, I found your note to leave 15 gallons of milk. Did you mean 1.5 gallons?"

The blond said, "I want 15 gallons. I'm going to fill my bathtub up with milk and take a milk bath."

The milkman asked, "Do you want it Pasteurized?"

The blond replied, "Nope, just up to my boobs, I can splash it in my eyes."

Sorry to the blonds out there....

Day 10: Full Bodied

OK- so I immediatly thought of beer. Not that I really know what a *full-bodied* beer tastes like, since I drink light. But it sure does make this body feel full after a few. LOl

Day 8: word prompt- ornament

Did you know that ornament means grace & beauty? I didn't. I thought it was a decorative item. LOL Which is it, but I have to say that some of mine are not graceful or beautiful.

I saw this one though & knew it fit the description.

Ornament: http://http://sabresquillandparchment.blogspot.com/

The journal prompt for a few days has been to randomly write for 45 minutes a day on paper & then throw it away. I can randomly *think* or *talk* easily for 45 minutes, but not write. So I think I am doing the prompt, just in a different medium. LOL

Day 7: prompt word- FLY

I am not sure if this is cheating- I started this page soon after our first grandchild was born Bella. But it didnt take long to figure out I was in over my head since I was & still am learning digital scrapbooking. I have played with it on & off every since Oct, never being satisfyed.

When i saw the word prompt FLY- that was a sign to finish this, as my little grandangel's wings needed repair & then she could fly when she wakes up.

Bella is the most precious little girl, & she does make my heart fly!

Day 6: rules I follow when crafting
I have only one rule, & it is a new one this year. Have fun no matter what I am doing. If I am not enjoying it, I am not going to do it.
Short & sweet.

Day 6: word prompt- fluid

Which made me think of water, of course.

Recently, our home was the site of a wedding reception. My family worked for months making it look really nice, well... aalmost all of it. One the wedding day... guess what? IT RAINED! We still had it at the house, but I don't think anyone really noticed the surroundings. LOL

A few days later I took some photos for our memory, and this is a photo of the ponds in back. Mike worked so hard on them.

So now- I will share them in cyber space so the world (hee hee) will enjoy our efforts!

Day 5: word prompt- grow

Grow- so many ways you can go with this word. But I chose a simple one, as there was something about this photo & the way the ferns looked that I liked. Not quite what I thought I saw, but I like it.

Day 5: Journal- this prompt sucks! It is- my hopes & dreams from when I was young while listening to music from that time period. Don't get me wrong, I like the music from the 70's. I loved soft rock at that time. Still like it.
But hopes & dreams? Did I have em? I didn't know I was supposed to have them. Maybe that someday I will look my age? That I would feel like I fit in somewhere? My friends today would not know this, but I was very shy & quiet. Yep- me. LOL And I did not have a lot of confidence in myself. But to this day, I STILL do not know what I want to be when I grow up, other than creative.
Once I left high school though I started learning what confidence is, & finding my place in the world. It wasn't always easy, but I have ended up exactly where I am supposed to be.

Day 4: prompt- heavy metal, seek inspiration

I didn't know what to think when I saw Heavy Metal other than Ozzy or The Rolling Stones. Then I thought of metal that was heavy. I did as suggested & went through what few pics of I have on my computer. I saw this one of a girlfriends son, & instantly I knew- there is no heavier metal than this GUN!

Right now I wish I was a writer, I am horrible at it. I want to express strongly why I feel that this gun is such a heavy metal (I know, a lot of it is probably plastic).

Think about what this gun is responsible for... the safety of this young man, the safety of others, the giving, & taking of life if needed. It has to be cleaned & taken care of more tenderly than a soldier holds a baby, this mans life depends on this piece of metal.

If that is not the heaviest of metals to carry, I don't know what else is.

Day 3: prompt- multilayer
I know that there are many thoughts about multilayer- but my first thought was layers of paper. Maybe it is because I am am artist in painting & digital scrapbooking is why that first came came to mind.

Day 2: Prompt- Picnic, & learn to call yourself an artist.

Day 2- Artist. I am an artist, and I have no trouble saying this. Describing my art is the difficult part.
I am a decorative painting artist, in the past this was a part time job, & I dabble in many other mediums. I am a digital scrap booking artist who is constantly searching for more ways to learn & use this medium. Digital scrapping has lead me to wanting to learn more about photography- but I again have no hesitation saying I am NOT a photographer! And I also consider myself a crafter... not necessarily an artist in this area, depends on the project.
This is my PICNIC! The sun is shining, birds are chirping, & the temp & humidity is perfect!!! Some of my family are here & there, eating & playing. I am standing with a brush in one hand, & a beer bottle in the other, playing with paint on this bear (which is on a easel), with food & paint scattered around. My granddaughter is laughing & having a great time with her Mom, Dad, & PawPaw.
I have family, talent, hope, & friends, who cares if I did laundry or not! I don’t.

I can say- this days challenge has been more of a challenge than I thought! When I went to look for my digi scrap files- I discovered to my horror that there are missing than I thought! Many of the ones I have purchased, as well as many freebies I have collected. And of course- among them my art kits, with easels & paint & all KINDS of painting goodies.

So that is where your imagination is put to the creativity test!!! If you can read the text on this project you will see what I mean.

Oh, and I did try to copy & paste the text for you, guess what? It didn't work!!!! Oh- I did it!!! Wooo Hoooooooo Now how did I do it??? Note to self- paste into Word Pad & copy that to use on here. Hee heee

Throw in the phone, enternet repair man, TV repair man, & running up & down the stairs from one to the other, no wonder I am a bit frazzled tonight.

And now my friends- it is time for a big event- putting the TV that I can SEE back on the mantle!! So have a good night.

VENT/ Grrrrrrrrrr.............

The more I look into my digital files that are kept on a EHD, the more files I see missing. Where the heck did they go?????
I did try the Windows live photo Gallery, maybe it stole them???? I wanted to organise my Digi Files & that was a recommendation from a reliable friend. Of course, I probably screwed it up some way.... cause that was the start of disappearing files.
Ok- I vented- but I dont feel much better! Gotta laugh though... me & computers! Just ask my hubby one day

Creativity Boot Camp
Day 1: prompt- ivory

My thought of Ivory is probably different than most. I immediately thought of Ivory soap, & then when I saw the old timey Ivory soap clip art it brought back memories.
